ABOUT LUCILLE
Hi! I'm Lucille, a 22-year-old artist based in Washington, D.C., originally from San Francisco, CA (still home in my heart!). I moved across the country to study at American University, where I’m currently a rising senior pursuing a dual degree in Theatre Performance and Public Relations.

Theatre has always been my first love, but AU’s liberal arts education opened up an exciting new path in PR: one that complements and deepens my artistry. I was drawn to PR for its power to amplify the arts and tell meaningful stories. As a performer, my PR training has expanded my creative lens, allowing me to connect with audiences in new ways and advocate for the transformative power of theatre. I explore that intersection as a writer for DC Theater Arts, where I review performances and stay engaged with the vibrant D.C. arts scene.

I also honor my artistic roots by working as a Teaching Artist, bringing theatre into local elementary schools. Guiding young students as they discover their own voices through performance is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

I’m especially drawn to theatre that challenges, provokes, and inspires. I believe the most powerful stories are the ones that ask big questions, spark conversation, and leave room for hope. Theatre, to me, is a catalyst for change, and I’m passionate about creating and supporting work that reflects the world we live in while imagining something better.

Exciting things to share!
Disarming Girls
Lucille will be performing in Disarming Girls, directed by Jenna Place, a brand-new play based on the true story of three women (Hannie, Truus, and Freddie) who worked with the Dutch Resistance during WWII. Lucille is honored to be playing Truus. As part of a new curriculum program at American, every first-year student will attend this production, allowing us to share the stories of these often-forgotten heroes with a larger audience.
Come see me! Oct 16th-26th, 2025
Shakespeare & Co
Lucille spent four weeks of her summer in Lenox, MA, with Shakespeare & Co. in a highly selective Shakespeare intensive. She trained in the Linklater voice technique, movement, Elizabethan dance, fight, clown, and of course, Shakespeare. For the culminating scene, she played Richard III in Act 1, Scene 2 of Richard III.
Julius Caesar
Lucille starred as Brutus in a recent production of Julius Caesar at American University, directed by Elena Zimmerman and produced by Lila-Rose. She received positive reviews from DC Theatre Arts.
As You Like It
Lucille went on for her understudy track as Rosalind in Shaina Taub's As You Like It and had a fantastic run. During the other performances, Lucille played lead guitar in the actor-musician band and was one of Rosalind's Ladies.
